Test points, a preliminary review, and silkscreen cleanup

Worked out test points that function with the board inside a metal box and outside it, passed a preliminary design review on every section, and cleaned up the silkscreen ahead of a final review Monday.

Spent today making sure we had proper test points.

The catch is they have to work with the board inside a metal box, which it needs for EMF reasons, and also with it outside the box.

My solution is U.FL connectors. They’re not rated for continuous use, so the plan is to hopefully not use them a whole bunch. Using them here and there will be good.

Also had a preliminary design review today. All of my sections of the board got validated.

Final review is Monday, so I’m prepping for that now.

The other big part of the day was silkscreen. Going through and making sure every component name shows properly, designators are in the right spots, and there are arrows drawn to where they go.

And making sure the vias are tented, so it’s all clean and we can put silkscreen over the vias.
